The kids are screaming at the top of their lungs,
and the dog won't stop barking.
There's a news story on TV about shopping mall parking.
It's cold outside, and I never have a jacket...
And the neighborhood kids keep up a steady racket.
The house is a mess
and the people in it
are in various states of undress...
There are too many clothes in the laundry basket
and Internet ads advise me to prepay for a casket.
There's too much going on,
and most of it's going wrong-
And I think I've been doing this too long,
because none of it worries me,
Because although I'm not footloose and fancy-free,
I'm perfectly happy
and exactly where I wanna be.
